Al went to meet his Lord and Savior on 8/19/2022 while living at Covenant Living in Plantation, Florida. Al was born in Somesville, Maine. He served four years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a pilot and flew float planes, crop dusters and towed banners down the Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Al was employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company and AT&T as a lineman and then a PBX Technician. Later in life, Al served the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as the Director of Security and Engineering. He also served as personal assistant and security for the Rev. Dr. James Kennedy.
Al is survived by: His wife, Mary Anne Bunker of 69 years of Plantation, Fl. Of Plantation, Fl. ; His sister Gaile Colby of Cranberry Isles, Maine; His children, Sandra L. Champagne of Plantation, Fl. ; Michael A. Bunker of Floral City, Fl. and Danny Bunker & wife Cathy of Roque Bluffs, Maine.
Also three grandchildren; Five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Al was pre-deceased by: Father, Lyndon H. Bunker; Mother, Ruth L. (Bunker) Stanley; Brother, Arthur Bunker, all from Cranberry Isles, Maine.
Visitation; Wednesday, August 31st from 5:00-7:00 pm. Kraeer-Faichild Funeral Home, 4061 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
Church Services; Thursday, September 1st at 11:30 at Coral Ridge Presbyterian, 5555 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
Cemetery Services; Thursday, September 1st at 2:00pm, South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Fl
