Born December 1, 1992
On May 30, 2011, after a long battle with Duchenes Muscular Dystrophy, Tristan peacefully passed away. Tristan was in grade 12, he attended Fort Frances High School and was hoping to attend his commencement in June.
Tristan was a very sociable young man. He enjoyed his friends from school, church and the community. He loved watching Animal Planet, listening to stories about the Great Frontier, and listening to his favourite Cowboy Classic cd’s from Grandpa B. His quarky humour will be missed by many. He was a perfect taxi driver to his 3 younger siblings. He would take them for rides on his wheelchair up and down the lane and through the malls in Winnipeg, wherever they wanted to go, he would take them. No matter how your day began, if Tristan was a part of it, he left you with a smile. Tristan’s life was like a book, with many chapters. He was able to make an impact on many lives. Despite the wheelchair, despite the terminal illness, his zest for life always shone through. He will be missed by many, many people.
Tristan was predeceased by his brother Phillip, on February 2, 2005 who also battled Muscular Dystrophy.
Left to cherish Tristan’s memory are his family, Glenn and Marina Bauman, Logan, Angel and Natheneil Bauman, Milissa (Ken) Crossley, Sue Klemmensen, Gary (Lisa) Councillor, Travis and Tyler Councillor, Lisa Whitefish, Tiffanie Whitefish as well as many grandparents, cousins and extended families.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Christian Reformed Churh in Emo, Ontario. Pastor Conrad Dueck officiated with interment in Emo Cemetery in Emo, Ontario.
