Theresa was born in Middle Lake, Saskatchewan on Saturday, August 15, 1914. She married Gerhard Kaun on December 20, 1934 and in October of 1941 they relocated to Fort Frances. They were married for 62 wonderful years before God called him home in March 1997.
Theresa had a variety of jobs in her earl years including for many years a home babysitting service that was full of love. She was also actively involved as a member of the Church of the Lutheran Hour. Her hobbies included knitting and gardening. But mostly she will be remembered for all the love she shared with family and friends, and a lifetime of family memories she helped create.
Theresa is survived by her son Edward Kaun (Jeanne) of Fort Frances, her daughters Elaine Clark of Seattle, Washington and Shirley Camirand (Gaston) of Rimbey, AB; Grandsons Calvin Kaun (Cindy), Karl Kaun (Bev), Wayne Kaun (Sherry), Les Kaun (Pam), Roy Kaun (Michelle), Roger Clark (Kelly), Richard Clark (Nancy), Philip Clark (Jennifer), Leon Camirand (Nicole), and Granddaughters Wendy Brunetta (John), and Kimberly Wyman (Craig). Great Grandsons include Nathan Kaun (Laura), David Kaun, John Paul Brunetta (Katie), Jesse Brunetta, Christopher Kaun (Jill), Matthew Kaun, Jamie Kaun, Nicholas Kaun, Dylan Kaun, Brian Clark, Gregory Clark, Derek Clark, Parker Wyman, Marshall Camirand and Great Granddaughters Kristen Kaun, Missy Larson (Mike), Brittany Kaun, Emily Kaun, Jessica Kaun, Natasha Clark, Emma Clark, Sydney Wyman, Brenda Camirand; and Great Great Grandchildren Ty Trapp, Oliver Larson, Greta Larson, Dahlai Kaun and Violet Kaun. Theresa is also survived by her Sister-in-law Evelyn Nagy and many nieces and nephews.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband Gerhard, her four brothers Ben, Steven, Joseph and Arthur Nagy and her four sisters Helen Ashenbrenner, Irene Pflanz, Elizabeth Smith and Agnes Louise Lengyel.
A prayer service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at The Church of the Lutheran Hour in Fort Frances.
A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the church with Reverend Jacob Quast officiating. Inurnment in LaVerendrye Columbarium in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Church of the Lutheran Hour Memorial Fund
Your love was a wonderful blessing that grew and grew. We thank God for the wonderful gift of you, for your smile that warmed, your words that encouraged and your heart that loved and gave so freely, but is now at rest.
