Rosemarie was born on August 13, 1955 to Frank and Jennie Rizzo. She grew up in Fort Frances, the middle of five children.
Laughter always came easily to Rose (or Rosie to many). Rose often took to Facebook to start the day sharing her positive outlook on life with thoughts as to how wonderful the world was and would end the day with a signoff spreading love.
She was married to Charlie Wagner in 1985 and they had a daughter, Tasha. Tasha was the center of Rose’s world.
Rosie worked for over 25 years at Rainycrest, where she enjoyed caring for the residents. In her spare time, she loved to read, cross-stitch, listening to music and watching her favourite television shows. If there was music playing, she was tapping her fingers or feet.
She is predeceased by her father Frank Rizzo and her mother Jennie (Mihichuk) Rizzo.
Rose leaves behind her husband, Charlie and her daughter, Tasha. Siblings Wayne (Sue) Rizzo, Barb (Russ) Strand, Toni (Lorne) Laferdy, Frank (Maria) Rizzo, numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews, as well as friends that became family including the Jannie Makarenko family and "daughter" Autumn Gill.
Over the past years Rosie spent a lot of time in the hospital and the staff was always kind and loving to her.
Rosie will be remembered at a Celebration of Life at the Fort Frances Royal Canadian Legion from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Rose loved to share stories and wanted this to be a true Celebration of Life, so please come with your favourite memories of Rosie to share during this event. Additionally, she requested that those celebrating her life do so in color, no black!
