Marcus was born as Atikokan’s New Year’s Baby on February 27, 1994 to Mark and Brandy Coulson. He lived in Atikokan all his life and had previously worked for Aecon Mining, CN Worldwide and M&M Coulson. He enjoyed being with his friends and family, stand-up comedy, playing guitar, drawing, gaming and long entertaining telephone conversations. He especially enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephew, even when his niece was afraid of his new beard. Marcus constantly either had his family rolling with laughter at his hilarious sense of humour, or cringing with his dark sided comedy. Marcus was sensitive, with a kind heart and a smirk that would light up the room. Although he was only 27 he touched many people’s lives.
He will be greatly missed by his parents Mark and Brandy; sisters Brianna (Jesse Manford) and Mackenna Coulson and niece and nephew Olivia and Lincoln Manford; grandmother Alverne Dickson; grandparents Debbie and Marty Coulson; great grandmother Ruth Dayman, aunts Tana Troniak, Dawn (Kelly) Masson and uncles Troy (Kim) Coulson, Kirk (Tina) Wihnan, and David (Patricia) McRae; and cousins Laura Fisk, Jasmine Farmer, Jersey Masson, and Haylee Coulson.
Marcus was predeceased by his great grandfather Ray Dayman; grandfather Gary Bienvenue and cousin Aaron Fisk. He was also predeceased by his aunts Rachel Hanson, Kelly Goodman, Sharon Veran, uncles Ed Kowal, Ray Veran, Russell Sedor and also cousins Lonnie Goodman Jr., Mark Goodman, Ricky Goodman, Paul Goodman, Patty Veran, Robert Veran, Danny Veran, Michael Veran and childhood best friend Liam Manford.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no public service at this time.
