Kerry is survived by his mother Melvina Morrisseau, his brothers: Steven, Marty (Monica), Lorne, Harlan (Melanie), Dennis, his sisters Shelly (George) Vivian, and Sandra Windego, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his Father Emil Morrisseau, brothers Clifford and Faron, and his nephew Chuck Windego.
Kerry worked for Armstrong Lumber, CFN Maintenance, and as a Fishing Guide for Northern Lights camp and other local tourist camps. He liked to spend his time walking, playing cards, visiting, and helping people. Kerry’s favorite pastime was riding his bike and when he couldn’t ride anymore, he walked and he walked where ever he wanted to go. He would start off early in the morning and stop where ever he seen someone awake and have coffee and chat, he knew everyone and he befriended all.
When he was healthy he would help others out when ever he could in winters he would shovel driveways and in summers he cut grass, if you needed an electrician, plumber, carpenter, or mechanic he would help if he could. His brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews were all recipients of kindness and willingness to help. He loved spending time teasing and making his family and friends laugh.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Couchiching Multi-Use Facility. Interment took place at Our Lady Of Lourdes Cemetery in Couchiching First Nation.
The pallbearers were Nick Hunter, Paul Vivian, Steve Mainville Jr., Derek Turcotte, Kevin Singleton and Jesse Morrisseau.
The honourary pallbearers were Steve Mainville Sr., George Vivian, Wesley George Bruyere, Dwayne Morrison and Richard Morrison.
