Claudia Domanski, 93, of Fort Frances, ON passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2015 at La Verendrye Hospital. Claudia was born in Fort Frances on December 1, 1921. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, son Gary, parents Arthur and Medora LaFrance, brothers Leo and Daniel, and sister Noella. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Georgianne and granddaughter Andrea. She is also survived by her sisters Rita Ruelle and Cecile Vavricka, brothers Pete, Buzz (Lucy), and Guy (Linda), sister-in-law Vi Domanski, as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Claudia enjoyed curling and golfing and remained an active bridge player. She treasured the friendships she made during these years. She had a flare for cooking, entertaining and needlework. She was a life member of the C.W.L. of St. Mary’s Parish and a long-time member of the La Verendrye Hospital Auxiliary.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances with Father Victor DeGagne officiating.
