Adele was born on Tuesday, November 7, 1922 to Andrew and Nora Lernowich of Brandon Manitoba. In 1943, she met and married the love of her life Walter Baraniuk who was serving with the Canadian Forces. After Walter was discharged, they moved to Fort Frances where Adele has lived ever since. Adele was a wonderful mother and she raised two sons, Larry and Jim. As well, she was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish, the Catholic Women’s League and the LaVerendrye Hospital Auxiliary.
Adele loved family get togethers, taking long walks, volunteering in the community and she especially loved her Friday evenings at the Sister Kennedy Centre playing floor shuffle with her many friends.
Adele was predeceased by her husband Walter; her son Larry; her brothers Joseph of Detroit, Charlie of Winnipeg, Stanley of Brandon, Walter of Red Deer, Ted of Brandon and her sisters Emily of Larder Lake and Jean of Surry BC. She is survived by her son Jim (Janet) Sault Ste. Marie, daughter in law Susan and sister in law Alma Lernowich of Winnipeg and special grandson Ryan of Sault Ste. Marie.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, Ontario on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Norberto Eyule officiating.
The active pallbearers will be Lyle Hudson, Peter Boon, Frank Strain, Harold Huntley, Frank Ball Sr. and Herman Rodrigues
The honourary pallbearers will be Nick Wihnan, Gerald Martin, Ed Haglund and Ernie McKelvie.
