I just happened across George's obituary, and although it has been a couple of months, I just wanted to say that I remember George fondly.  I rented the apartment above George's in his mother's building on Elmwood Ave. in the early 90's.  George was always a very sweet person and he used to let me cat, Emily, run down to his apartment to "visit".  He also changed a tire for one of my friends during a snowstorm.  He was a great neighbor.  So sorry to hear about this.  My condolences to Zdenka (Marie) and family.

George was our next door neighbor in his Grandmother's building on Elmwood Ave in Berwyn for many years.  George was always very friendly and helpful to our family.  One day, our dog was spooked when a squirrel jumped on her back and she pushed the gate open and ran off.  George ran off and rescued her a few blocks away, and probably saved her from being hit by a car near a busy street.  George always loved the 4th of July and his fireworks.  We all had many pleasant conversations with George while he lived next door.  He was a very kind person and a good neighbor.  We send our condolences and prayers to your families.

I will miss your constant vigil outside my office door.  Always looking out for me and offering to help.  Our many conversations about your mom and how you always told me I was so lucky to have Ken, cause no one else could ever put up with me.  I wish you peace, and you will be remembered in my prayers. Dear Zdenka, Sven and Family,

I am so very sorry for your great loss. George was a wonderful human being and will be missed by many.  The loss of a person you love is very difficult to bear, no matter what the circumstances are.  I pray for you that the grieving process bring you some measure of peace and many opportunities to celebrate your life's journey together, your cherished memories and your loving family.

George was one of my first friends when we were young boys in North Riverside.  My sympathies to the Blum Family.

We are totally shocked! My husband & I can't believe he's gone. We just saw him on Thursday (we left on Friday for the holiday weekend) & he looked & acted fine.  When we returned, we had a bunch of calls from our tenants about George, & we just couldn't believe it! We live right across from him. He was a loving, caring and generous human being.  One time, we were re-paving our drive-way for our tenants.  George showed up that evening & offered his parking spot so that we wouldn't have to park on the street.  What a sweety pie! Another time, I let out our dogs, & I was having some health issues.  He asked me if I was OK or could he do anything to help me! He also kept an eye out for our apt. bldg. THAT's the kind of guy he was!  He talked about his mom alot, Zdenka. He had only respect and love in this heart for her! Even though he was Rudy's tenant, he felt like he was ours as well!  He was always loving to our dogs that have a terminal condition, but he Loved Them!  Our deepest condolences to all who knew & loved George. Zdenka, our prayers are with you. I will miss his laughter, his kindness,& the complaining of the weather (in the winter time) when he had to smoke outside his apt. (that just made me smile, because in the winter he froze his buns off!) George, your footprints will always be in our heart.  You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten! I went to Komarek grade school with George. He was always a very nice and humorous guy.  It appears he remained like that as an adult.  My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I will always remember George fondly.  He was such a nice guy, always smiling.  Like my Dad said, my heartfelt condolences to his family.

You were my oldest brother, and although there were times we did not get along really well, you always found time to call me just to see how the girls and I were doing.  We talked about televisions shows that we both watched, and always tried to predict what the next season will bring.  You laughed a lot, and were never really in a bad mood.  You called me the night before you died, and I never heard back from you.  I would give anything just to hear your voice one more time.  I hope you are at peace and enjoying hanging out with dad, babicka, and dedecek.  We will truly miss you.  You had a special place in Melissa's and Jenny's hearts as well.  I wished you would have been able to see the girls graduate from college, get married, and have been crazy great Uncle George.  I know you are watching us from where you are.  You will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.
