I stayed over at the Sprovieri's house many times but this one time Auntie Eileen decided for breakfast we were going to have chocolate chip pancakes. She never made chocolate chip pancakes for her kids and she never did again after that day!!  The funny thing is I don't even like pancakes but I didn't have the heart to tell her so I choked them down!!  Stacie doesn't let me forget that it was a special day in the Sprovieri house!!  Glad I was there for it!!

Miss you, Auntie Eileen but glad you are not in pain anymore.  Until we meet again ♡ Catherine 

I have many fond memories of Eileen especially when she joined the Sprovieri family & married my cousin Paul. Our extended family was together often during holiday celebrations, filled with Grandmas, Aunts, Uncles, & all of our cousins & food, food, food!
Eileen was always so friendly, very genuine & sincere. Family was always her priority thruout her life. She raised a wonderful family with Paul.  

I remember how excited she was when I got engaged & married Jerry Sweeney, not only a Cicero neighbor of the Joyce Family & a SFR Alum, but also 100% Irish! 
Although we only met occasionally over the past few years, our meetings were always warm & so much fun. They did not reflect how much time that had passed in-between our meetings. We were still cousins & always would be. Our last meeting was at Jackie's baby shower  I was so happy to spend some time catching up with Eileen.
Eileen was a sweet person who loved all family. She was someone I admired & loved. 
Rest in Peace sweet lady! You will definitely be missed. 💔

Any time I spent with Aunt Eileen was always filled with good conversation & lots of laughs. I’m so lucky to have known her!  I’ll never forget her visits to our home in Wisconsin; and am especially grateful for teaching me how to make the best meatballs in town!  Sending my love ❤️

Auntie Eileen had a power over kids I will never understand but have always wished I could master. We always knew to listen to Auntie Eileen but we didn’t know why she wasn’t scary or big and loud like the Italian side but she had something about her a look that made you behave.  She had the sweetest voice. She was always with the kids. I loved having cousin sleep overs at her house. And I tell her “dirty” joke to all the kids I can and give her credit when I finish with the punch line. 

Do you want to hear a dirty Joke she would say and as kids we would get excited and say yes 
What’s invisible and smells like Carrots? 
A rabbit fart!

It was 4th of July weekend, and I had to have been just barely a pre-teen, when my grandma and grandpa (Theresa & Ken Miller) were visiting with UK & Aunt Eileen SP. It was cocktail hour and my Dad was cooking in the kitchen. I was outside in the driveway with everyone else, enjoying the setting sun and beautiful company.

Aunt Eileen SP, my grandma, and my mom were all laughing so hard they were crying! Calling each other “sister golden hair”, something Aunt Eileen SP blurted out. My memory gets foggy when trying to recall where the heck it even came from. We had SOO much fun that day!

At nighttime, Aunt Eileen SP had told me we are having a sleepover in the basement and to gather all my favorite blankets. We set up our space and found a movie to watch - The Patriot. Snuggled under the mound of blankets, I vividly remember feeling way cooler for being in her presence (all while she talked through the whole film). We stayed up late and gabbed for hours! Auntie, you made me feel so special, heard and seen. I was so drawn to you, as you ALWAYS made me laugh into tears! You were a bold and confident woman, people sure knew when you were in the room! Your character fascinated me, you were a special woman Auntie. 

I love you “sister golden hair” - I’m grateful and honored to have shared special moments like these and more with you. Stay near your family and loved ones during this time, as their hearts heal.
