her home Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She had suffered over the past 6
months from Lung cancer. Cynthia was born January 23, 1950 in Knoxville,
TN, wife of late husband Karl E. Goodhouse, daughter of late Theodore R.
Williams and Margaret S. Williams.
Cynthia was a graduate of Queens College – Charlotte, N.C.
Cynthia’s work career began in public service as a Counselor and teacher
at Jonnie H. McLeod Drug Education Center in Charlotte, N.C. Her work
was influential in introducing drug education into the Mecklenburg Co
school system. She was passionate about educating others about substance
abuse issues.
Cynthia’s passions extended beyond work with her love of gardening, the
arts, reading and telling stories. She had a love and an eye for
pottery. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was
a loyal, caring and generous person. Her true love was her late husband
Karl E. Goodhouse and their family pet Oreo. Cynthia was a loving
mother; her many quotes to her daughter “It was me and you against the
world” and “You are a beautiful person” will never be forgotten. She
will surely be missed. I love you and miss you mom.
Surviving are her daughter Bridgette Mann, her grandson Dustin and
great-granddaughter Faith. Sister, Kathy Williams, nieces Kristi and Rachel.
