I remember the treasure that Olga was. She was the living annals of Flushing Christian School.  Whenever we had a question about the school's history or a person from the past, we asked Olga. Her memory was golden and she loved to share what she knew, with wonderful detail.  We were all enriched by knowing this dear woman. Her smile is etched on my memory. And believe it or not,  she would thank me for letting her volunteer. What a true and lovely Christian lady. She is still missed.

I share with all of dear Olga's family your deep grief and sorrow over her passing.  Although I didn't know her well she always made me feel welcome after the service during Fellowship.  When I had a birthday, she apologized for not being able to buy me a gift.  She presented me with several gifts that she had in her possession.  She was such a kind and generous soul.  I will always remember her.

Rob and Carol Mendez, friends. We lived across the street from Olga and George Zitzman for 10 years in Flushing. Our two older boys went to Flushing Christian School where her and my mom worked for many years. We shared many memories at home and at camp of the woods with Olga and her family. Her husband and her son must be enjoying their time together I know my mom longs to be there also

Olga was truly a remarkable woman. Not only did she love her Lord and Savior, but, she also loved her family. Sitting on the front porch with her at Camp of the Woods brings back great memories of her service at First Pres and at Flushing Christian School where 3 of my children attended. Great memories of her and George, sr. Now, gone to glory with George senior and her son George junior. What a tremendous reunion in Heaven!!! Bill and Elizabeth Kashimer 

     Thank you, Olga for serving so faithfully at Flushing Christian School.  You were a  joy to be around - cheerful, pleasant and kind to others.  You were strong and honest in your conversation and unwavering in integrity and your Christian testimony.  
       Among your many talents, your attention to detail made you the school's finest proofreader and so you were always the last person to check the Newsletter before it was sent to print.  
     You were always ready to help a person in need and your 'James Bond' drawer held just about everything  we needed from white out and duct tape to a workman's tools.  
     You were able to answer questions that no one else could regarding people, places and things that happened at FCS before our time.   You worked under every principal at FCS except for Ms Keller.  No wonder you knew more about the school than anyone else.
     Both you and George freely gave to the Lord from your store of talent, money, and time - the things that make up our lives.  You are remembered with great love, affection and admiration.  Since 2017 we have missed you at the school, dear sister but we rejoice in knowing that you are finally with Jesus.  All glory to God!

I believe Olga was a shining light of Truth and a unique compassionate Human Being.  She welcomed me, a struggling waif, into her home in 1977.  For some reason she accepted me with unconditional Love.  It is rare seeing her unselfish nature in our World today.  Olga appreciated and encouraged me to be the unique person God created.  She helped facilitate the metamorphic process God had planned.  Being saved in NYC was a predestined choice of the Lord.  Olga became a caring Christian mom for me. I spent much free time visiting her home.  I got to know her husband George, daughter Olgajean and son Georgie.  They seemed a stable, normal family.   A good Home was something new to me.  Olga's family showed me unsolicited love and affection that I was never privy to in my  real "family".  About 2 years after becoming a Christian in NYC I had a depression that lasted 2+ years.  Even in desperate times Olga continued to encourage me and supported a hope she had for my eventual healing.  I expressed Joy when the depression finally ended.  The Lord helped me attain self-acceptance.  I never remember my childhood.  I had no identity.  Who did God create me to be?  The Lord's process of healing began. His plan was to instill Spiritual Maturity.  Olga loved my Christian poems & writings.  She treasured these messages in her heart.  One writing "A Tribute to Women" was sent specifically to her.  She recognized "my words expressed joy" in having a Godly wife/mother present.  Olga has now moved to her Heavenly Home.  She is eternally living in "The Place where she belongs".  One day in the future I shall see her  and  say: "Olga I appreciate you for who you are.  A selfless servant of the Lord who had a tremendous agape impact on a vulnerable child/man. You are not my natural mother. However, you have a "Beautiful Spirit".  You helped free me from existing as a captive prisoner of the Enemy and the World.  Thank you Olga.  You are a good and faithful servant.

Olga and I  were friends long before she was a wife, Mom, or grandma.  Our faith began at the Jan Hus Presbyterian church when we were very young.  Our parents were members at this church and very active.  Here we hung on to our Czech roots.  When both of our families moved to FLushing that friendship continued at the Presbyterian church there.  Here we continued to grow in our faith.  I remember youth groups, Bible school, Church School, youth choir etc. etc.  Now she will continue those relationships which she began many years ago.  With thanksgiving and love we remember our friendship.
