Morris Marvin Fader of Bayside, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at age 95. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Avenue, West Babylon, NY 11704.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, where he was a self-professed "All-Schoolyard" athlete, Marv graduated from New York University (undergrad) and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After a stint in the U.S. Navy, he practiced as part of a thriving dental partnership in Springfield Gardens, Queens, for more than 30 years before retiring to spend more time on the tennis court with his wife. He also enjoyed cruises and bemoaning the performance of the New York Giants and Mets. Marv is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara; sons Eric (and wife Nancy), Gregg (and wife Ellen), and Michael (and wife Chie); and grandchildren Andrew (and Eileen), Evan (and wife Basia), Sydney and Joshua.
