Mark D. Siegel

by his beloved wife, Karen. They were very happily married for almost 18 years and grateful to

have found each other later in life.

Mark is also survived by his sister, Joyce Kelly-Lachs and brother, Craig Siegel along with his

nephews, Casey and Logan Kelly and Louis Siegel.

He started his professional career as an engineer in the aerospace industry. He continued to

work in the aerospace industry in several different capacities, finally finding a home at Kerns

Manufacturing, which he loved.

Mark’s passion, aside from his wife, was playing his guitar. He was self-taught since he

was a young boy, and after his father Leon bought him his first real guitar, a Fender Telecaster

at Sam Ash, in Brooklyn, he was forever hooked.

He recently formed a Country Rock band, which he enjoyed putting together from A to Z. He

was so excited when he got gigs from around the NYC area as well as on Long Island. He

always had the biggest smile when he was playing and singing along to his music either on

stage or around the dining room table; he loved to entertain everyone with his music which he

was so proud of.

Mark was truly a gentleman in every sense of the word. A little old fashioned and old school

at times, which most people found truly appealing and comforting. Mark was well respected

by many people whom he admired and loved especially his devoted wife, loving family and

friends.

The great joy he got out of his zest for life was always recognized by people around him,

especially when people would take notice of his boisterous laugh and enormous smile

with crinkling eyes.

The world will be a less joyous place without Mark in it. His absence will be felt by everyone

that he had touched throughout his life.
