Jenna Rosen, born in 1948, passed away on December 2nd, 2023, following a courageous and resilient second battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, Jenna's journey took her to Forest Hills, NY, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and an enduring passion for the arts. She was a beacon of positivity, a bright light that illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her entire life was filled with tremendously unfair hardship, beginning in her childhood with the loss of her parents, grandmother, and shortly after, her grandfather. Leaving her at the age of 15 as caretaker for her 5 year old sister. Life presented her with continual uphill battles, but Jenna faced each challenge with remarkable strength, always overcoming adversity. Jenna's resilient nature allowed her to live an additional 24 years after her initial battle with pancreatic cancer, a testament to her fighting spirit.
Jenna was a true Renaissance soul with a deep appreciation for the arts. Whether it was the opera, music, museums, books, or delving into the intricacies of history, she immersed herself in the beauty and richness of human culture. Her intellectual curiosity and love for learning made her a captivating conversationalist. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious and helped draw her neices and nephews into similar interests.
Jenna cherished family—especially her beloved sister, whom she loved dearly. Her love extended to her nieces and nephews, and she was exceptionally close to them, always spending quality time together, never missing any events in their lives. She was a guiding light, encouraging their interests in the arts, literature, and history. Jenna fostered a love for learning, urging them to explore the realms of history and politics, instilling in them a deep appreciation for the world around them.

A funeral service officiated by Rabbi Eli Blokh for Jenna will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at Parkside Memorial Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM at Mount Hebron Cemetery, 130-04 Horace Harding Expressway, Flushing, NY 11367.
