Jeffrey Bienstock

Jeffrey Stephen Bienstock, aged 71, passed away at his home on the evening of September 5, 2022. Jeff was the son of Julius and Eleanor Bienstock who predeceased him.He is survived by his wife, Linda Bienstock, his brother Rabbi Arnold Bienstock, his sister Dr. Rachelle Bienstock (Scott Snyder), and his six nieces; Levana Bienstock, Mazal Bienstock, Meira Bienstock, Hadas Sharif, Julia Bienstock Snyder, and Shira Sarah Bienstock Snyder.

Jeffrey graduated from the Joint Program of Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary with degrees in psychology and Talmud. He worked for the Department of Social Services of the City of New York from which he retired in 2016. He was an active member of Fountain House. He was an avid reader and public speaker. Funeral and interment were Thursday September 8, 2022 at Montefiore Cemetery, Springfield Gardens, Queens, NY.
