April 22, 1942 – June 8, 2024
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ed Kane, age 82, on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, partner, husband and friend to all. Ed was kind, a “mensch among mensches” and had a passion for life. His tastes ranged from opera and theater to Marvel movies and South Park; from French Bistros to southern BBQ. He loved to travel, to explore the world, but loved NYC most of all.
While we are filled with grief, we can take heart that he is no longer suffering. Ed was surrounded by family and friends right up until his last breath, which was a blessing. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time, for that we are beyond grateful.
A funeral service will be held at Sinai Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375 on Monday June 17th at 11:30am. A graveside service will be held immediately after at Wellwood Cemetery in West Babylon, NY.

Do not despair because of suffering,
For life is suffering.
Suffering and also joy.
When life brings you suffering, hurt.
When life brings you joy, laugh.
Cling to nothing
For all is fleeting
