Schlossman, Ralph E. MD Passed away on January 17, 2019. Survived by beloved wife of 64 years, Ruth nee Morgenlander. Mourned by loving children Marcie Tankel (Dr. Marvin), Andrew, and Wendy Schlossman Firtel (Douglas) and by adoring grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth), Jeffrey (Megan), Noah, Jordan, Max and Kwynne. He touched generations of patients he took care of for more than half a century. He loved to teach and at one time held professional rank in three New York Medical Schools. He was admired by his colleagues, who chose him as President of his county medical society and received the Medical Society of the State of New York’s most prestigious award, The Henry I. Feinberg Award for leadership. He was proud of his service in the U.S. Air Force, becoming the flight surgeon of a wing of the first generation of supersonic fighter bombers and one of the first physicians to fly faster than the speed of sound. To us, his family, he represented quiet dignity, leadership, honor and integrity but most of all boundless love for us all. Dad, Poppy-We will love you forever and miss you forever.
