Anthony Ambrosino Jr., known affectionately to many as "Junior," peacefully departed this life on December 5th, 2023, surrounded by the love of his life, Margaret and his adoring daughter in law and grandchildren. Born on February 11th, 1944, to Antonio and Antonetta Ambrosino in Brooklyn, New York, Junior lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family and faith.
Junior faced the hardships of life with unwavering strength, yet his heart bore the weight of sorrow as he was predeceased by his two sons, Anthony and Stephen. He joins in eternal rest with his brothers Michael, Joseph, Biagio, Salvatore, and Frank, as well as his sisters Rosie, Carmela, and Lucy. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Margaret, who stood faithfully by his side, as well as his grandchildren Stephen, Anthony, Sonny, Alexandra, and Sal. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Rachele, sister Mary, and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever remember his warmth and guidance.
Junior was a man of many facets—renowned for his great sense of humor, always ready with a good joke that could brighten the darkest day. His friends and family knew him as a reliable go-to person whenever there was a problem, a testament to his compassionate and caring nature.
A Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Junior exemplified his deep faith in God through his actions and devotion. He found solace and strength in his religious convictions, which guided him throughout his life.
Among Junior's passions were his love for family, particularly his wife and grandchildren. His house upstate New York held a special place in his heart, providing a sanctuary for cherished moments and family gatherings. Junior also enjoyed the thrill of hunting and reveled in the camaraderie of the outdoors. An avid golfer, he found joy in the sport and shared it with those fortunate enough to join him on the course.
Junior's circle of friends was vast, a testament to his amiable nature and genuine friendships. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered as a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 11th, from 8:30 am to 9:45 am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45 am at Our Lady of Grace Church. The final resting place will be at Saint John's Cemetery.
