I think of Ray from time to time, just this week I was in a group of guys talking about salsa music lovers and of course Ray came to my mind. I would often go with Ray on Monday nites to the Village Gate during the mid 1980's. We saw Mongo Santamaria, David Valentine and so many others. Ray Loved his Salsa!!!

I had the privilege to work with Ray, He was a great shop steward and a friend. He will be sorely missed. God Bless

I was heart broken when I received the news of Ray’s passing, he was a true friend and always spoke his mind, I was honored when he attended my retirement party, he’ll always have a place in my heart.

That was Ray.

As a friend and a mentor brother Ramon  Soriano had a very profound impact on my professional and personal life.  We enjoyed going to many NY Yankee games, went on a few cruises and also attended many labor organize activities.

My heart is so broken to know that Rey he’s no longer here. He will always be cherished in my heart. 
He was warm, giving, supportive  and loving soul who is greatly missed.
You and Rey were great together and he will always be with you. Much love and strength to you.

My deepest condolences.  May the Lord comfort the family. Ramón is pain free sharing with those that have gone before him.  Lord provide my cousin Annette comfort at this time. Thanks for the memories.

Ray if it wasn't for you I don't know what I would be doing today. You gave me the request for an application for Local3 in 1990, and stood by me through the process. When I became an active member of local 3  and asked you how can I pay you back your response was to keep representing.  Thank you for giving me the tools that gave me  the good life that I have today.  Rest in peace my brother and know that I will keep representing.  God bless

I met Ray in 1980 at a Electricians’ union event.  I was dating a mutual friend at the time and we hit it off immediately.  Ray was funny and an enigmatic individual…many years later we found each other and it was as if we had never been apart.. you will be missed Ray my friend..Rest in eternal peace…🙏🏼😇
