Peggy Kalesis

Peggy Kalesis, beloved mother and grandmother, 78, of Douglaston, NY, passed away at home on April 12, 2025. She was born in Kastoria, Greece in 1946 and immigrated to the United States at age 3. Peggy loved working as a parent coordinator in New York City Schools. Peggy was a resilient force of nature, always full of love and positivity. She cherished her children and grandson, William. Their successes were her greatest joys. She loved God, her family, friends, and community. She will be remembered as a true humanitarian through her kind acts and good deeds. She always went out of her way to help people and was considered a second mother by many and a Saint in her own right. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Constantine “Dino,” and is survived by her daughter Janine, Grandson William, Daughter-in-Law Victoria, Sister Popi, and Nieces Anna, Athena, and Georgia, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

A visitation for Peggy will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frederick/Quinn- Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 17, 2025, 11 :00 AM at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 100 Fairway Dr, Port Washington, NY 11050. A graveside service will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, New York, NY 11365.
