At the "Wikipedia" website, look under their image and under the "feast" section, it states that their day is celebrated on 9/27 (pre 1970).  Milly was born in 1965.  Please look further down and read the "patronage" section and it includes all medical professionals to include Pharmacists.  

Isn't it ironic how Milly passed on September 27th, on the day of Saints Cosmas and Damian, patron Saints of Pharmacists?

I remember the days when I was younger and up in New York she took me to Broadway to watch Lion King, Matilda, etc. Then we would go to the Toys R Us in time square and just enjoy each others company on the Ferris Wheel they had. I remember the time we had both went to this event they had at a pumpkin patch and we looked at all the pumpkin designs judging it as if we were some kind of pumpkin critics. I remember calling her and asking her to be my godmother for confirmation. There are so many good memories we have of one another and it’s sad that she is gone. I love her so much and I’ll always continue to love her. 

My sincerest condolences go out to my dear friend Milly's friends and family.  My heart was broken this week, with the news of Milly's passing.  Milly was so genuine and such a selfless beautiful person.  She will be dearly missed and forever in my heart.

My condolences to Magdalena and George who I have heard so much about. Milly trained me when I started working at NYP. She was the first person I met at the hospital and she will never be forgotten. I loved spending the day with her talking about Cuba, her mom's cooking and hearing all the stories about her family and friends.  She was the best pharmacist and had the best sense of humor. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Milagros was a rare gem, a combination of kindness, graciousness, humorous, intelligent, a friend who would listen and care.  Even with her tough battles, she always had a big smile, jokes and a sharp mind.  She loved her friends and family with all her heart.  Till we see each other again….RIP (be sure to save that Margarita for me)

Milly was one of the first people I met & who trained me when I started working at NYP. She was always so nice & someone you could go to when you needed advice/help with something. 

We will love and miss you forever my MiIlie.  We will never laugh again about the pancake people, have a cocktail, have hot wings, hangout at a restaurant or bar with you but we will never forget how truly amazing you are and what a beautiful soul you have. miss her so much. She loved her family and friends  so much.  Despite the challenges she faced with her health, she was always so positive, always smiling, and asking about you. Her glass was always half full. I will miss our dinners, our shopping sprees, and just her kindness and gentleness.  Always a fighter, always a true friend.   

Millie, it breaks my heart to hear  of your passing. Although we didn’t see much of each other, you always sent your best via our good friend, Nancy.  Your warmness always shine through and I’m very happy to have known you. RIP my friend, you will always be Remembered. 

My cousin, confirmation madrina, and friend. You have been guiding me ever since I can remember and are always in my heart. There isn’t anyone I know who hasn’t known you and loved you for the beautiful human you are. You are in my heart and everyone else’s who are touched by simply knowing you. 

I worked with Milly for a brief time back in the late 90s. What started out as a professional relationship turned into a genuine friendship  very quickly. She was a great colleague, but more importantly an incredible and true friend which I will always cherish and hold dear to my heart forever.  There is not enough words to describe her beautiful soul. She was extremely kind and generous to everyone and I know she was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to have met her. My deepest condolences to the Fernandez family.

Milly was the lead pharmacist in our Pharmacy team. She was a great leader, extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Most importantly, she cared deeply for people: family, friends, colleagues and patients. When I was starting out as a new graduate, Milly was always there to help me and to answer all my questions. She was always very generous with her time and resources, often staying hours past her shift to help colleagues and patients. She treated everyone like family. Every year she gave my kids and me birthday and Christmas gifts.
Milly did not complain or hold grudges. She was always happy to help anyone she could. No matter what she was going through, she always took care of her mom and her brother first. She had been incredibly strong in every way. I am so grateful to have known Milly and for all that she had done for me.
This photo was taken on 9/10/22 when we met up briefly. We had planned to get together again soon. Now I will miss her until we meet again in heaven. I take comfort that she is no longer suffering and is in the arms of our Savior. I pray that God gives her mom, George and their family strength and peace during this difficult time. Please let me know what I can do to help.

Where do I start from I was speechless when I heard that Milly is no more 🥲🥲I have only known Milly about 3 years ago she will always make jokes when I ask her to check meds she would say to me I owe her $1 and when she ask me to deliver anything she would say we are even now she was so sweet and always smiling. I saw Milly about 3 weeks ago , I was joking telling her the extemp is ready to check and she was just smiling.  The last thing she said to me that she is happy for me to get a full time job at Gracey but she misses me at WC. Milly you will always be remembered SIP my friend. My deepest condolences to the family and may her soul RIP 😢😢 

Every interaction with you made me smile. You were one of the friendliest people anybody could meet. I'm sad that you're no longer here with us, but it's a comfort to know you're no longer in pain. My condolences to the Fernandez family and friends. Rest in peace Milly.

I’m so heartbroken 💔 Milly was like another sister to me. I always admired her for her intelligence, her sweet heart and her laughter. I took this picture of her about a month ago. It so happened that I asked her if I could take a picture and she turned around and said “No.” But I took it anyway without her knowing. I’m glad that I did. She will be miss!!! First impressions are always impactful and Milly was one of the first people I met at NYP. Getting to know her as a colleague and eventually a friend has been one of the most fulfilling and meaningful experiences I have ever had. She always had a bright smile and a good joke even if things weren’t going the way she intended. It was with her blessing and example that I thought and knew I could possibly reach for bigger and better things and tried to do a good job in her stead when she had to step away from training. When people would ask me, I would tell them Milly was a big reason why I did this because I wanted to be that shining example of what our workplace could be and give people the guidance and assistance that she did. I would also tell them my goal was to at least attempt to do half the job she did because she certainly did more than I could ever imagine. I will miss our inside jokes and talking about the Mets which I know she loved and hated dearly. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say meeting Milly was one of the best experiences you could have and I am happy I got to know her as I did. She will be forever missed. My sincere condolences to her family during this difficult time.
