12, 2022. Luis was born December 17, 1937 in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Luis is survived by his spouse, Faye Padilla; his daughter Martha Whalley (George); his
daughter Kristie Hritz; and his son Walter Padilla; his granddaughter Nicole Gray, his grandson
Michael Hritz, his grandson Sean Whalley, his granddaughter Erin Whalley, his grandson James
Whalley and his great granddaughter Trinity Hritz. He is also survived by his sister Dalila
Acosta, his sister Mariela Sosa (Lucho), his brother Jesus Padilla, his brother Fernando Padilla
(Aminta), as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Luis is preceded in death by his son Luis Padilla Jr., his parents Allen and Ana Padilla, brothers
Enrique Padilla and Julio Padilla.
A visitation for Luis will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at
Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A funeral mass will
occur Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Andrew Avellino R.C.
Church, 35-60 158th St, Flushing, NY 11358. An interment will occur Thursday, March 17, 2022
from 11:30 AM to 11:50 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, Kew
Gardens, NY 11415.
