Joan M. Nerney

Joan was a loving, brave, intelligent, kind, and an incredibly strong woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Allison Nerney, sister Eileen Smart, brothers Gerard (Jerry) Hanley, Joseph Hanley, Patrick Hanley, and many nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerard (Jerry) Nerney, mother Alice Hanley, father John (Jack) Hanley, sisters Jackie McBride, Alice Lynch, and brother John (Skipper) Hanley.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 2-6 pm at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Blvd. in Flushing, NY 11358. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice in Loving Memory of Joan.
