Clyde Worrell (Jerry) was born on July 26, 1966 to the late Raphael and Eulalee Worrell in Kingston, Jamaica. He was one of seven children: Christopher, Rashford, Odette, late Sandra, late Horace, and late Owen.
He immigrated to Brooklyn, New York in 1998 in search of greater economic opportunities. He began working at Men on the Move in 2001 where he found a family, outside of home. Clyde spent the next 20 years, until his death, at Men on the Move; first he was a mover on the trucks and then became the dispatcher. Clyde was known as the problem solver, if no one could do it, Clyde would find a way. Clyde was an avid sports fan. He loved Manchester United, New York Knicks and New York Yankees; if you criticize any of these teams in front of him, you would never hear the end of it.
Clyde is survived by his daughters Ashaleigh, Kaycia and Demi Worrell; his nieces and nephews, Joel, Brian, Denise Orridge, Jaganai Garden, Sonya Lee, Javier and a grandniece, Anaise Perry. He was also survived by many cousins and aunts.
Clyde will be missed but surely never forgotten. "
A visitation for Clyde will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, followed by a funeral service from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM.
