I am just finding out about her passing and it is truly tragic hearing about this just now in 2025 , while some of my old classmates may have had their own opinions  about her I thought she was very charismatic and humorous and it is a tragedy that she had to leave this earth so soon , 🙏🏻

really sad to hear that she passed away… Ms. Frangos was my English teacher all throughout middle school and my 8th grade home room teacher. She was very hard working and affectionate. Despite not having kids of her own, she treated all her students like they were her own kids.. I remember she saved my MS class’s 6th grade work and surprised us with it at the end of 8th grade like a proud mother.. When I graduated high school this year, I wanted to surprise her with my diploma but I never got the chance but I know she’s proud.. Rest in paradise Ms Frangos, your “little dumplings” miss you and I will always admire how family oriented you were.. 😞🤍🕊️

I’m very sad to hear the news. Ms. Frangos was my 7th grade home room teacher. I remember her always giving great life advice to the class. One time she said “Everyday is a new opportunity to be a better version of yourself. Yesterday is the past and you shouldn’t dwell on your mistakes.” I remember it like it was yesterday. She was so inspirational and motivational. I really wish I had the chance to tell her that I am a teacher too now. I know she would have been so proud of me❤️.

Ms.Frangos was like a second mom to me back when i was in middle school. spent alot of time eating my lunches with her, helped keep me calm when i was bullied and always provided a shoulder for me to cry on and a smile to wipe the tears away. heaven truly has gained an angel...ill miss her and words cannot describe my level of condolences i express to the Frangos family. just remember shed always want you guys to smile and cherish her memories for the best of moments.... - Tristan Moore Class of 2012 MS.577

I am so saddened to hear about Ms. Frangos, I was in her class 10yrs ago. She would take me and 3 other girls to a restaurant called Red Bowl right behind M.S577, she would have girl talk with us and always be so supportive. She would order us pizza and keep us in a classroom to literally just talk. She would eat her Chobani yogurt and just listen to our childish problems like “ I think he likes me but why doesn’t he say hi to me in the halls” and I kid you not she’d say BECAUSE YOU’RE TOO GOOD FOR HIM. I have not spoken to her in years and man do I regret it. I would’ve loved having her energy around me and her kind uplifting words. NOBODY was like her. Her advice was always heaven sent. I was a 13yr old telling her these silly stories (that now I find funny because what problems does a 13yr old really go through) but not once did she make me feel like they were silly little problems. She spoke to me with such care and her advice always uplifted me. I loved how blunt she was and you either respect what she said or just get out her face. She knew what she wanted and deserved I loved that about her and I always said that is how I want to be when I’m older. Especially her fashion taste, literally always wanted what she had on. She is a beautiful soul. I will forever carry her smile in my heart. 

Even though I never had her as a teacher back in middle school, she sometimes substituted my class! Looking back she was always such a bright and strong person! May she Rest In Peace! 🙏🏻

Ms Frangos… there’s no way to describe how hurt i am. I’m hurt knowing I’ll never get that chance to tell you how my life is going… 💔 you never gave up on me you pushed me and pushed me until I graduated. I’m forever grateful to have a teacher like you… If I were to speak for all of 803, we love you and we deeply miss you. This isn’t a goodbye forever this is goodbye for now ❤️… I love you Ms Frangos…  



Ms.Frangos never forget when
they put me and my brother in 803 to start the year no other teacher could deal with me I was always getting into some kind of trouble, 
but the moment I sat down in home room she made me feel right where I needed to be literally great teacher and just an amazing person always stood up for us and was always there when you needed her. Ms. Frangos had a great sense of humor she was like our second mom at school such amazing memories she will be deeply missed. thank you for taking care of us

Oh boy, my Ol girl. Never in a million years did I ever think it would be Ms Frangos. I am deeply saddened by the news and would like to give my condolences to all those whom are hurting at this very moment. Ms Frangos was my middle school teacher along with my buddies from the fab 5, she was like a mother to all of us at that school and we all grew to love her very much not only as a teacher but as somebody whom we look at as family. She had such a great heart and went through a lot with us in school, she loved us as if we were her own and I never forget that she even cried at our graduation. ❤️ Hence all the headaches the fab 5 gave her. I am very saddened by this news Ms Frangos was my son's Middle School Teacher Oh boy oh boy the headache my son Would give her LOL And she always tried her hardest with him and he grew to Love her Very Much He Always Kepted In Touch With Her and Look up to her My Son is A Grown Man Now Thee Age of 24yrs Old. Such sadness losing this vibrant woman far too soon. I know Dite through my daughter Marybeth. They are both teachers at middle school in Brooklyn.  Dite has been a presence in my life these last few years.  She and Manny visited us at our summer home upstate, she has shared many meals with us, she was instrumental in helping to plan a surprise birthday party for my husband , Jesse,, and most importantly, was a great support to Marybeth when her Dad passed away a few years ago. A true friend! She is greatly missed by all who knew her.  My deepest sympathies to all!

Ms. Frangos was my middle school teacher and was always there when I needed a helping hand, or just when I needed someone to listen to me. She never once doubted me and pushed me beyond my limits. She allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and shine to be the person she knew I was. She was so full of light and there was never a day where she came into work without having so much energy. My heart is sadden by this news but I will never forget her and the impact she had on me. 

To the Frangos Family - I was so shocked and incredibly sorry to learn of Dite's passing.  Dite was such an outgoing and vibrant person and it's so hard to believe she is gone.  I will always remember her deep love for her family, her friendship with so many people and her pride in her Greek heritage.  May she rest in peace and may all of you find comfort in the many happy memories you shared with her.

Ms. Frangos was an amazing and caring teacher. She was there whenever you needed her and was delightful to help with a smile. She treated her students like her own and although she could be strict, there was never a dull moment. She inspired, guided and influenced whoever she taught. 
She helped countless students through middle school and even myself to graduate. You couldnt ask more from a teacher. Simply amazing would describe her and she will be missed. My condolences.              803:)

My heart is extremely heavy hearing the news of Ms.Frangos’ passing. Anyone who knew me in middle school would know how much she meant to me. She made my middle school years ones I would absolutely never forget. I’d never had such a close bond to a teacher before until I met her. She was not only a second mother to me but a mentor as well. Our bond was indescribable. She was such a beautiful and funny person and it pains me to know that she is no longer here. I missed her before she passed and I miss her even more now.
