Angela A. Rolfo

Angela Rolfo, resident of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on September 21. She received immunotherapy treatment at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital before succumbing to colon cancer in Dawn Greene Hospice at Mary Manning Walsh Home, New York City

She was born on March 16, 1933 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her parents, Giorgio Grosso and Lidia Denise Perrone were Italian immigrants from Piedmont. Shortly after her parents arrived they opened a prosperous business in which she worked hard assisting them.

She married Giuseppe Rolfo, also from Piedmont, and moved to New York City in 1957.

She is survived by her two sons, Lawrence, married to Eleana Tello-Ortega, and George. Her grandchildren are, Luis, 24, and Matthew, 15.

She worked at St. Claire's hospital as the Admitting Office Supervisor, until she left to care for her Mother. She also worked for the Queens District Attorney as a Community Associate Trial Preparation Assistant until she retired. She moved to Winter Springs, Florida in 2004 where she lived until she came back to New York City for her cancer treatment.
