William "Bill" B. Baker, age 77, of Flushing, Michigan passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. Bill was born in Muskegon, Michigan to Richard and Carol Baker. He married his loving wife, Beverly Mahar, of 46 years on February 2, 1979.
Bill graduated from Muskegon High School in 1965 and enrolled at General Motors Institute (currently Kettering University), where he graduated in 1970 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. After a 37 year career with General Motors, where he worked mainly as the General Supervisor of the Procedures Department, he retired in 2002. He then took a part-time job at Reigle Funeral Home, where he retired after 9 years in 2017.
Growing up on Lake Michigan, Bill's fondest childhood memories were of spending time on the beach. He continued throughout his life taking many family vacations on the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan, as well other places around the country. After retirement, he enjoyed spending his time collecting coins and postage stamps from around the world. Bill was a loyal and humble family man, a great provider, husband, father, and friend.
Bill is survived by his wife, Beverly, sons: Dominic (Dawn), Erik (Diana), Joseph (Ashley), James; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Judie Scoggins, Diane Aldridge and Richard Baker.
A memorial visitation for Bill will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W Pierson Rd, Flushing, Michigan, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
