PETERSON, Wanda E. – Age 83, passed away, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Tender Care Nursing Home in Frankenmuth. Mrs. Peterson was born September 29, 1928 in Karlstad, Minnesota the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Smeby) Hams. Wanda was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Flint. She enjoyed gardening, Bingo, crocheting, playing cards and being with her grandchildren. For years Wanda worked as a sales clerk for Yankees and Arlans. Surviving are her children, Elaine (Dennis) Bloss, Arlette (Willie) Brown, Arlinda Sincock and friend Gerald Slaybaugh; grandchildren, Dwight (Dawn) Bloss, James (Christy) Bloss, Andrew (Holly) Bloss, Andrea (Tom) Worthing, Joseph (Kathleen) Bodag, Jason (Melinda) Brown, Angie (John) Rodoicic, Tammy (Rocky) Meadows, Rhonda (Ray) Rush, Donald (Stephanie) Campbell; 28 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Joyceann (Wendell) Schutt, Dale (Shirley) Hams, Vonnie (Fred) Ryser. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Peterson, parents, Arthur and Emma Hams, great grandson, Royce and two sisters. The family would like to thank Tender Care Nursing Home and Hospice of Midland for all of their loving care. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Reigle Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Horn will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
