Phyllis Anne Crandell, age 89, of Flushing, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Phyllis was born on July 18, 1934, and grew up in Coleman, Michigan, with 7 siblings. She married Frank Crandell on February 7, 1953, and moved to Flushing in 1955. Phyllis was a Flushing school bus driver for 30 years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed listening to country music, traveling, and attending auctions. Phyllis was loved by family and friends and will be missed.
Phyllis is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Larry (Sandy) Crandell, Cynthia (Terry) Hutchinson, Gordon (Colleen) Crandell, Douglas (Ardath) Crandell, and Matthew (Juanita) Crandell,
her grandchildren and spouses: Beau (Stephany Krepp), Bret, Joshua (Junyan), and Drew (Janna) Crandell, Joanna Care, Sara (Nick McNea) and Noah Hutchinson, and her great-grandchildren: Wren and Elodie McNea, Claire and Chloe Crandell, 2 sisters: Maxine Nemeth and Elouise Higgins, 4 sisters-in-law: Joyce Vought, Vicki Vought, Rita Crandell, and Barbara Bowman, and 1 brother in-law: Gerald Crandell.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Arthur Crandell, her parents, Christopher and Eva Vought, her siblings: Lyle Vought, Stanley Vought, Chris Vought, Virginia Arnold, and Leslie Vought, and her granddaughter, Melissa Parsons.
