Michael Vaughn Bright

Michael was born in Flint on April 19, 1962 to Vaughn and Amanda Bright. He graduated from Hamady High School in 1981 and worked at Suski Chevrolet in Birch Run for the past 20 years. Mike was an avid race car driver for many years; spending many nights and weekends perfecting the sport. Number 3 will always be thought of when thinking of Mike. He also spent any extra spare time hunting and fishing with his dad, brothers, son Kolt, and nephews in Hale, Michigan at the Bright Family Cabin that he loved so much, and tinkering in the cabin garage with a Coke and his dog, Onyx. Driving around the lakes was where he was most at peace.

Mike is survived by his sons: Kolt Bright and Shaun Bright; daughter Sierra (Priest) Slater; brothers: Brad (Carmen) Bright and Kevin (Amy) Bright; "Close as Brothers": Marky Verhegghe and Damon Krummel; nieces: Kayla and Jamie Bright; nephews: Nick Bright, Bradley Bright, Jordan Verhegghe, and godson Jarrett Bright; many friends, coworkers, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amanda Wilma (nee Ward) Bright; father, Vaughn Dale Bright; and all of his loving grandparents.

Mike's family would like to thank Andy Suski and all of the Suski family for their continued love and support shown to Mike over the past 20 years.

The family will greet friends from 12:00pm - 8:00pm for a memorial visitation on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, Michigan. In accordance with state and local mandates, please wear a facial covering when visiting, practice social distancing and comply with gathering limitations of 25 guests at a time.
