Mabel C. Horton – Age 97, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Melody Pines Care Home. Mrs. Horton was born April 30, 1918 in Goodthunder, Minnesota the daughter of the late Fred and Laura Petersen. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband John Horton. Mabel worked for General Motors for many years. Surviving are her children, Donald (Bethany) Horton, Theodore (Doris) Horton, Caroline Hook; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her husband John Horton, daughter, Betty (Bill) Rogers, brother, Robert Petersen, sister, Marguerite Walter, son-in-law, Robert Hook. A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Chapel at Flint Memorial Park.
