ROWLAND, Joseph L. – of Flushing, age 54, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Joe was born April 18, 1956 in Flint, Michigan the son of Gerald and Helen (Vance) Rowland. Joe was retired from Delphi. Joe was an avid outdoorsman and loved animals. Surviving are: father, Jerry Rowland of Flushing; sisters, Nikki Rowland of Flushing, Lisa (Bryan) Sutton of Flushing, brother, Matt (Charlotte) Rowland of Austin, Texas; nieces, Megan and Danielle Sutton. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Rowland. A memorial gathering will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, MI 48433. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
