My dearest Jordan....my heart is so broken. I can’t put into words how much you meant to our family. I’m sitting here with tears In my eyes because I will never get to see your amazing smile or enjoy your wonderful personality again. I will cherish every memory I have of you. Every holiday you would tell me that you still had my picture under your pillow and as corny as that sounds I loved it.  I hope you know how much we all love you. Until we meet again my amazing nephew 💜

Thanks to that permanent marker you thought was a dry erase marker your name is still on the board on my fridge. I figured it would never completely scrub off so I never tried. It says something about your personality though. You were a goofball. You made people laugh. Like many of Tre's friends I considered you one of my nephews and still do. Wherever you are go find Grandma and get that piece of candy you wanted. She always had a stash when she was here. Imagine what she has up there.

The older I get the more I realize how lucky I am to have the bond with my cousins that I do. Not many people enjoy family get togethers or look forward to the holidays like I do because I know I’ll get to laugh uncontrollably for hours on end. It was always like hanging out with my friends rather than being with family when we were together.  

My cousin Jordan was incredible. I would listen to him and Mike talk for hours in awe about things I couldn’t even wrap my brain around because it was so far out of my mental capacity. He was one of the smartest people I have ever been around. Every year for Christmas trivia I knew he was my biggest competition. Not only was he brilliant but he was kind. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a mean thing come from his mouth. Actually, I think the year the wrong rolls were brought at thanksgiving he might have agreed with us saying how much it sucked. His personality was contagious. He made everyone want to be around him. 

 I’ll forever remember all the years playing in grandmas basement, not wanting to go home because we felt we didn’t see each other enough, being crazy enough to all go to Great Lakes crossing for Black Friday shopping and the many years sitting at the “kids” table every holiday. Crazy how writing this brings up so many more memories and my tears are turning into laughs because you’ve brought so much happiness to my life. Right now in my head all I can hear is the sound of your mom singing “sorry mom, sorry mom, sorry mom” over and over again because that was your punishment when we slept over when we were little was to sing that to her. That sleepover has some of my favorite memories. Or when we were playing “house” at uncle Kevin’s wedding and you accidentally called 911 on the pay phone because I pretended to go missing. A life without you seems so empty, but lucky for me I have so many memories to remember you by.

It is with a Heavy Heart that I write this-Words cannot  express my love for you.   For what ever reason God called you home  He left a hole in many hearts. I will always remember that if you told me once "Grandma I love you-  You told me a Million times " So many Beautiful Memories of you -The Holidays- Shopping-the e-mails and just seeing you with your smiling face -wit and humor- There is no answer as to WHY?   Although you are no longer here with us our  memories will always be.  Rest in peace dear one as you join the angels in Heaven   - until we meet again      With much LOVE  Grandma
