John Henry Dragomer Jr.

DRAGOMER, JOHN H. Jr. age 73, of Flushing, MI. and Ft. Myers FL. Passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Services will be 11:30 A.M. Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, MI. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 and 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. John was born May 29, 1939 in Detroit, MI. the first child of parents John H. Sr. and Dorothy (Weihe) Dragomer. He was born and raised in Detroit, MI. After graduation from Denby High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He spent his military years as a flight engineer being stationed first at Pensacola, FL. and then Barbers Point, HI. John returned to Detroit after being discharged and began a career in the tire business. He has worked for Firestone, Goodyear and Upper Lakes Tire, which he retired from in 2004. John married the love of his life, Kathleen Burman, April 27, 1963. They were blessed with three children, John H. (Christine) Dragomer III, Debbie (Mike) Bernard, Sandy (Christopher) Reynolds. He always wanted a baseball team of children and he got his wish with 9 grandchildren who were deeply loved Brett, Tiffany, Brianna, Kyle, Brady, Ashley, Christopher, Benjamin, Ava. Also surviving are brothers Richard and David; sister Carol. Contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the National Parkinson Foundation.
