Doris Bramlett

Doris Bramlett, age 89, of Flushing, Michigan passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Doris was born April 12, 1933 to the late Dennis and Edna Horton in New Madrid, Missouri. Graduating as Valedictorian from her High School she went on to build a life of love, compassion and incredible strength for others to admire. There were no strangers when you visited Memaw's house; all were always welcome. Doris was an amazing baker, especially cake decorating. She was a long time member of Brent Creek United Methodist Church and active with the Flushing Singers. Doris loved to play the piano and was excellent costume maker for all the church programs. Doris loved to host family gatherings and "Game Day" events for her close friends. She was an amazing woman and will be deeply missed. Doris is survived by her children: Vicki (Marvin) Short, Randy (Shari) Bramlett, Keith (Debbie) Bramlett; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Jenkins; and many close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Bramlett; sister, Kay Lee; brother, Dennis "Buddy" Horton; and brother-in-law, Donald Jenkins. A visitation for Doris will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Doris will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Cemetery, 4413 Flushing Rd., Flint, Michigan. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Michigan Humane Society in memory of Doris.
