She accepted Jesus as her savior at a young age. She enjoyed singing in her church choir and watching professional Wrestling. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, church friends, and siblings.
Dora is survived by her children: Chandra Kuta, Johnny Cayton Jr., Deidre Cayton, Joseph (Jacqueline) Cayton, Kimberly Cayton, Terence Cayton, and Kevin Cayton; grandchildren Angela Horne, Tamra Horne, Jamael Horne, Timothy Cayton Jr., and Briana Cayton; 7 great-grandchildren; special sister LuthaMae Studivant; siblings Argusta Presley, David Rainey, Betty (Winston) Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cayton; son, Timothy Cayton Sr.; daughter, Ingrid Horne; granddaughter, Tanisha Horne; mother, Queen Spinks; father, Mitchell Jones; and several siblings.
A visitation for Dora will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W Pierson Rd, Flushing, Michigan 48433. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 8095 W. Frances Rd, Flushing, Michigan, followed by interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, Michigan at 1:30 PM.
