Donald Howard Parks, age 89, of Flint Township, Michigan passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024.
On February 16, 1935, Don Parks was born in Flint, Michigan to Howard and Eleanor Parks. In 1956, Don married Garnet, the love of his life, and the two were married for 68 years. Don was a devout Christian man and was a part of the Nazarene church in Flint for many years. Don loved to help others and was a generous and compassionate person. He was quite handy when it came to fixing anything, regardless of what or whom it was for. His family and friends will remember him for his kindness and his unwavering commitment to his faith. He will be greatly missed.
Don is survived by his wife Garnet Parks; son Daniel Parks; daughters Danelle (Avery) Sedore and Ann Nelson; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister Elane Brokmeier. Preceded by his son Tom Parks.
An interment for Donald will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Flint Memorial Park, 9506 N Dort Hwy, Mt. Morris, MI.
