Donald Laverne Bronson

BRONSON, DONALD LAVERNE, age 92, of Flint passed away on December 12, 2018 at his home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Don was born in Flint on July 21, 1926 to Marcus and Audrey (Stimson) Bronson. On March 17, 1951 he married Mary Ann (Henneke). She preceded him in death on June 12, 2018. Don is survived by his three daughters: Denise Bronson (Charlie Flowers) of Columbus, Ohio; Linda (Jose ́) Rosa of Ames, Iowa; Jan (John) Stieglitz of Sharpsville, Indiana; five grandsons: Aaron (Kirsten) Rosa of Karlsruhe, Germany; Jason (Christina) Rosa of Champaign, Illinois; Daren Stieglitz of Berlin, Germany; Karl Stieglitz of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Micah Stieglitz of Phoenix, Oregon; four great-grandchildren: Avery, Isabella, and Maxwell Rosa of Champaign, Illinois, and Naia Rosa of Karlsruhe, Germany; brother-in-law Edward (Donna) Henneke of Flushing, Michigan; sister-in-law Joyce (Henneke) Stafford of Flushing, Michigan; five nieces and two nephews. Don graduated from Flint Technical High School in 1945. After serving in the Navy, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture from Michigan State University and began a 43-year career with AC Spark Plug and EDS. He had an adventurous spirit. When he was 17, Don and a friend rode their bicycles 1,000 miles from Flint to Watertown, New York. Don enjoyed motorboats and sailing, hiking, woodworking, and traveling. He and Mary Ann traveled extensively, visiting every state in the country as well as nearly every continent. His family would like to thank the Medical Team Hospice and the Right at Home staff for their care and support.
