SCHULZ, Catherine E. – Age 94, of Flushing, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at Heritage Manor. Always ready to wrap everyone in a quilt of kindness, she inspired generations of family and friends with her warmth, smile, and amazing grace. Most likely she was welcomed to her heavenly home with a plate of sauerkraut and dumplings by A. Louis Schulz who she married November 28, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1990. Surely she is surrounded by cinnamon rolls, apple pie, quilting and crocheting; a card table set for poker; a song-filled gathering at a player piano; square-dancing; a garden of flowers, and a sunny room for her painting and crafting. Surviving are children, Marcia (William) Combs, Sandra (Jack) Wolfe, Michael (Judy) Schulz, Catherine Tanaka, Mary Madden, Theresa (Albert) Kamakana, Jeanne Ambrose; and many grandchildren. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reigle Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday, February 7, at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing, with the Rev. Louis Ekka officiating. Contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic Church. Share your memories of Catherine at www.reiglefuneralhome.com.
