Susan Jane Thomas

Susan was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 6, 1942, to the late Lloyd and Madeline Harnden.

Susan grew up in Detroit, Michigan where she graduated from Denby High School. Shortly after graduation, she met and married the love of her life, James P. Thomas. Over the next six years, Susan and James, grew their family to six. After having their children, they decided to move their family to Petoskey, Michigan.

After raising their children and enjoying the small town life that Petoskey offered. James and Susan moved to Ormond Beach to enjoy retirement.

Susan enjoyed traveling to many different countries with her husband, golfing, playing cards with her friends and taking cruises with her family.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nancy Milke and her son-in-law, Jeffery McKenzie. Susan is survived by her husband James; their four children. Jim (Dotti) Thomas, Laurie McKenzie, Michael (Anita) Thomas and Susan (Sean) Martin; twelve grandchildren, Katie (Jonathan) Baldwin, Jennifer (Lucas) Smith, Jeffery (Kelsey) McKenzie, Brittany Trevethan, Jimmy (Kat) Thomas, Christopher (Rachel) Trevethan, Kelsey McKenzie, Sarah (Joseph) Tatem, Julie (Kody) Alber, Ryan (Sammie) Trevethan, Macy McKenzie and Bailey (Jeremiah) Weld; Twenty great grandchildren; Landon, Kiah, Lucas, Brady, Michael, Ethan, Emma, Amelia, Daniel, Kenzley, Gannon, Trevor, Chase, Cooper, Colton, Kyler, Madilynn, Bentley, Harper and Matthew. her sister, Judy Brady and many nieces and nephews.

Susan was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandma. She will be sorely missed.
