Norma Kendrick was born in Pendleton, Oregon on May 29, 1922. She died peacefully at her residence at the Windsor of Palm Coast on Friday, September 15, 2017. The daughter of Dolph and Evalyn Edmiston, Norma married Harold E. Kendrick on June 26, 1943. Together they had two daughters, Carol K. Lemieux, (married to Donald Lemieux) Palm Coast, FL and Nancy E. Weiler married to Antone Weiler) The Villages, FL. She delighted in her 5 grandchildren: Kathleen Lemieux VanPelt, Michael Kendrick Lemieux, Suzanne Lemieux, Alan Weiler and Karen Weiler Maddox, and 4 great grandchildren : Caitlin and Kelsey Lemieux, Benjamin Brock Maddox and George VanPelt. Norma was a dedicated Navy wife, following her husband as his career took them far and wide, including living on Malta and New Zealand. Settling in Palm Coast in 1974, Norma pursued her passion for golf and at various times was champion at all four Palm Coast golf courses. She had 4 holes-in-one and was remembered by many for her strict adherence to the Rules of Golf. After her golfing days, she became active in the City of Palm Coast Historical Society, serving as Executive Secretary. There will be no funeral at her request. Her ashes will be joined with those of her beloved “Hal” who predeceased her in 2005. The family would like to thank the staff of the Windsor of Palm Coast for their tender loving care and the staff of VITAS for their support in her last days.
