Jose Da Silva

He was born December 16, 1925 in Fenais De Luz, Sao Miguel, Acores, the son of Jose Da Silva Amaral, and Rosa De Estrela Amaral.

He grew up in the Acores, and moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey at the age of 28. Mr. Da Silva worked for over 30 years as a foreman for Napp Grecco Co. in Newark. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Neptune, New Jersey, then to Palm Coast. He enjoyed maintaining his meticulous lawn and garden. Jose enjoyed gardening vegetables and fruits. Mr. Da Silva also enjoyed watching soccer and playing cards with his family.

Mr. Da Silva was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Juraci Da Silva and two children: Edward Silva and Cesaria Cooke.

He leaves two children, Maria Goncalves, and Joseph Silva; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday December 20th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday December 21st at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast, where family and friends will be received one hour prior to the Mass.
