Joan was born November 9, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Joseph and Natalie Kaminski. She was a 1957 graduate of South High School.
She married John J. Lucansky October 4, 1958, they were married for 53 years. Joan was a member of Christ Our Savior at St. Nicholas church in Struthers, Ohio.
Joan worked at Bellsouth/ATT for many years as a Service Supervisor before retiring and continued to be a member of the American Business Women’s Association where she had been nominated for woman of the year.
She loved to spend time with her family, making frequent visits to Florida and vacationing together in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Some of Joanne’s favorite hobbies were playing golf with her late husband, painting ceramics, and watching her grandson play football and soccer through the years. Traveling far at times to do so. She also enjoyed time with friends going on bus trips to casinos, playing bingo, cards and dominoes. As well as monthly luncheons with high school friends and former coworkers. Joan will be remembered as a kind hearted, generous woman that never said a bad word about anyone.
Joan leaves behind a son John J. Lucansky Jr. and Daughter in law (Lisa Lucansky) of Palm Coast, FL. Daughter Jennifer Lucansky of Struthers, OH. A beloved Grandson Alex Lucansky of Jacksonville, FL.
Sisters; Natalie Kaminski of Catonsville, MD. Carol DiVencenzo of Struthers, OH. Cathy and (Bill) McCoy of New Springfield, OH. Brothers John and (Marita) Kaminski of Delaware, OH. Jim and (Gloria) Kaminski of Mineral Ridge, OH. Tom and (Kathy) Kaminski of Naples, FL. Beloved niece Dawn Burich (Dave) of Struthers, OH. and numerous other nieces and nephews she enjoyed spending time with.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John and brother Joe Kaminski.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday January 14 at 11:00am St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy Palm Coast, FL. A celebration of life will be held at Christ Our Savior Church St. Nicholas in Struthers, OH at a later date.
