Jillian "Jill" Frances Davis

Jillian Frances Davis, known as Jill by her family and friends passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 19, 2023. She was born on January 19, 1940 in Braxton County, West Virginia to Paul and Delma Dorsey who preceded her in death. She met her husband of 64 years Corbin M. Davis in Gassaway, West Virginia where they were married. Being a military wife she was a strong woman who took her two small children to Germany in the 60’s and lived on base for a couple of years. No matter where they lived she always made a house a home for her family. When they came back to the United States they never stayed at any one base longer than three years. Eventually, they settled in Indiana where she had a short career at Central Supply. Both Corbin and Jill finally retired to Ormond Beach, Florida where they loved the small town feel. Jill enjoyed her family, gardening and a love for all animals. Her sudden passing has left behind a grief stricken family. They are left behind to cherish all the memories of her awesome hugs, humor and general good times.

Survivors include her husband, Corbin M. (Bud) Davis; sons, Douglas M. and his wife Lisa Davis of Ormond Beach, FL., Jeffery A. and his wife Gail Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Judy Young of Ohio, Janet Westfall of West Virginia; 6 grandchildren, Jacob P. Davis of Indiana, Katie Askey of Florida, Samuel S. Davis of Nevada, Nathan K. Davis of Tennessee, Jon M. Davis of Indiana, Ciara Alderson of Florida and 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering for Jill will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
