Jennifer Avena, 28 of Port Orange, tragically passed into eternal rest on August 26, 2017. She was born on September 27, 1988, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Early in life, Jennifer was an altar girl, soccer player an avid dancer and went on to graduate from Mainland High School. She became a Restaurant Trainer for BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse. Jenny brought laughter, comfort, and joy to the simple things in life; she adored spending time with her two children, loved ones, and friends. She lit up a room and was a shoulder to lean on for anyone in need. She leaves behind two children; Cayden Avena and Vance Dourth Jr. and a companion, Vance Dourth Sr. She also leaves behind her parents, Linda and Kevin Flanagan of Ormond Beach, Joseph and Nicola Avena of Dundee Illinois; her grandparents, Richard and Irene Paccione of Ormond Beach, Maureen Flanagan of Palm Coast, and Gerard and Josephine Avena of Bohemia, New York. She is also survived by her sister, Nicole Avena of Washington, D.C., and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, in addition to a large circle of friends whom she considered family. Jennifer touched many lives along her brief journey. Her spirit lives on through the five lives she has saved by her selfless decision to become an organ donor. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 30th at 2:00PM at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave, Flagler Beach, Florida.
