Preceded in death by his parents, Francis Henry and Mary Noel. Beloved husband for 46 years of JoAnne Darnell Noel. Cherished father of Francis Ryan Noel (Rose). Proud Peepaw of Riddick, Kairo, Deja and Maddox Noel. He was one of four Noel siblings: Pat LaFrance (Ron), Richard Noel (Mary) and Tom Noel (Erin).
He served honorably in the Army and when discharged in 1964 worked in the automotive industry.
Frank and JoAnne met in late 1969 at the Egg & I restaurant on Telegraph Road and married on October 1, 1971. They enjoyed several years of traveling (JoAnne being with the airlines), also enjoyed golfing with his family and dancing – Frank was an awesome dancer and the disco years were his era. Life quieted down when they had their son Ryan and Pop Warner football consumed their time together. During this time they moved to Raleigh, NC, where Frank and his son, Ryan opened two extreme skate parks called “Ryan’s World Skate Park”.
In later years, Frank became a “Harley” motorcycle lover and he and JoAnne spent many a day on his bike.
Frank and JoAnne eventually moved to Palm Coast, Florida where Frank kept busy with home construction.
Frank will be remembered for being a strong, upbeat, positive and a very giving person. His sense of humor brightened everyone’s day. He will be missed beyond words…..
A “Celebration of Life” will be held in early May in the Detroit area. An obituary with the date, time and location will be placed in the Detroit News when arrangements are confirmed.
