Born in Media, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (Pew) Worst.
Esther was a graduate of Swarthmore High School, class of 1949. For most of her life she raised her family and cared for her home. She was a caregiver for her son, John, and a volunteer for the children and Elwyn Institute. She attended Swarthmore Presbyterian Church, in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. She lived in Media, Pennsylvania and most of her life in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, before moving to Palm Coast, Florida with her daughter. Her love for the Phillies was her focus for many years. Phillies were “her boys”.
She is survived by her daughters, Esther Jane Kolasinski (James) of Palm Coast, Florida, Kathy Ann Reel (Larry) of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, 3 grandchildren, Janie Lee Yatsko (Harry), William Bruce Bullman, and Lisa Marie Buckner (Lamar), and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Robert Worst (Emily) of South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her son, William John Lee, Jr., and her sisters, Eva Widdowson, Helen Nowell, Joanne Walmsley, and Mary Baker.
