Christian March Jones, 58, of Palm Coast left to be with the Lord May 26, 2023. Chris was born on March 5, 1965 to James and Geraldine Jones in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He spent his childhood in North Carolina until he was 12 and then he and his family moved to Florida where he has been since. He fought for our country in the Army during Desert Storm, where he was a signal intelligence Morse Interceptor among other titles, riding over 5000 hours in the back seat of a plane. When his military service was fulfilled, he worked in security at NASA and helped with the astronauts in the shuttle program. He also drove over 1 million miles on our country’s roads as a truck driver and worked with his wife Karen at an independent and assisted living community, where they both entertained the residents from time to time.
He enjoyed working with other veterans in the VFW and DAV, eventually becoming an officer in both. He also accompanied a WWII veteran who resided in the assisted living community in which he worked with Karen, on an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Chris loved his military service and veterans, but he also loved his wife, Karen Jones. He was very devoted to her and to their pets for which he cared deeply. He loved all of his friends and enjoyed their company as much as he could. He loved music and writing songs, in fact he wrote over 3,000 songs, along with singing and collaborating with musicians across the world via the internet, and recording some of the songs. He also did DJ work on the side. Chris was amazingly talented and was good at everything he tried and he certainly tried as much as he could. He was a gifted chef, gardener, photographer, mechanic, hunter, fisherman, detectorist, etc… Chris was also a member of a local ham radio network. Chris was very happy to serve the Lord and without a doubt lived his life in a way that was pleasing to Him.
Chris is survived by his wife, Karen Jones, their dogs, Cameaux and Gracie Beauty, their cats, Buster and Orla, his sisters-in-law, Susan and Robin Wright, and many other extended family and friends he picked up along the way.
There will be a Gathering on June 14, 2023 from 4-5pm at the Readiness Center/National Guard Armory, 100 Fin Way Palm Coast, FL 32164 with a Memorial Service at 5pm and a Fellowship Dinner to follow.
Chris was a wonderful man who cared very deeply and was a good friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family appreciates all everyone is doing for them. In honor of Chris, please make donations to the American Cancer Society, Samaritan’s Purse, or Best Friends Animal Society.
