Charles A. Modica 87 of Palm Coast passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn NY, June 13, 1935 a son of the late Santo Modica and Antoinette Graffeo Modica. A retired trackman for the New York City Transit Authority where he had worked for 32 years, Mr. Modica was a resident of Palm Coast since 1991 coming from Staten Island NY. He was a lifetime member of the Knight of Columbus and was a member of NY Transit Club in Palm Coast. He loved working on and riding bicycles in his neighborhood. Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 62 years Rosemarie in June 2022, and his siblings, Louie Modica (Marion) Pauline Giambalvo (Anthony) Nat Modica (Angelina) Joseph Modica (Ruthann) Lillian Gulemmo (Frank) and Nolan Modica. Surviving are his children, Joseph (Candy) Modica; Rosemarie Modica/Wilson (Douglas); grandchildren, Irene (Jay), Jeanette (John), John, Luke (Toni Ann), Billy (Leah), Charles (Danielle), Kristy, Robert; great-grandchildren, Matthew (Dareyla), Ryan, John, Alyssa, Nicole, Victoria, Avada, Sparroe, Victoria, Elliana and Nolan; great-great-grandchildren, Oliver, Layla, sisters, Martha Poli (Anthony) Gussie Cuccurullo (John) and sister-in-law Cathy Modica. The family suggest memorial contributions to the Calvary Christian Center of Palm Coast. Arrangements are in the care of Craig=Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
